Lib Dems run Oxford City Council's Executive Board

Lib Dems are the largest group on Oxford City Council, for the first time in Oxford' history. We chose to hold seven of the ten seats on the Executive Board and have been dubbed the "Magnificent Seven" by the local media. The three non-Lib Dem (and non-portfolio) members of the Executive are being referred to by the same paper as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".

The Leader, John Goddard, is at the centre front flanked by Jean Fooks (left) - now responsible for all the city's rubbish - and Caroline van Zyl - in charge of crime. Deputy leader David Rundle, peering round his Leader, is developing Stronger Communities. Stephen Tall (left at the back) looks after the money, Alan Armitage (right at the back) is tasked with providing a Healthier Environment, and Patrick Murray (somewhere in the middle) has promised to deliver Improving Housing.

Not only does Oxford now have a Lib Dem led Executive, but also the first ever Lib Dem Lord Mayor, Jim Campbell.
